We owe our Veterans and their families every opportunity to be well and live their full potential with access to the right resources and supportive services. The withdraw from Afghanistan accelerated crisis in Veterans who served there, increasing the risk of worsening mood disorders and suicide. COVD-19 increased the backlog of Veterans applying for Veteran benefits and care, where in our region, mental health care referrals are 3-6 months behind. OWN is working in collaboration with several national and community partners to support Veterans to increase easy access to whole health care and supportive services for disabled and at-risk Veterans improving quality of Life and decreasing the risk of suicide. With our organization’s mission always in mind - Healthy People, Healthy Planet - we build collaborations to address the interrelated issues of well-being, food security, clean water, climate change, self and community empowerment through education and entrepreneurship. Honduras Hope is a big little project centered around building an award-winning green community center that will serve as the foundation for a Regenerative Community and health clinic located in central Honduras. Education focuses on children and woman. The education and enterprise of women and children is the heart of a Healthy community, the soul of a Healthy Planet. The honey bee is crucial to a healthy planet and healthy people. Our colonies are happy and well at H. Bee Kind Acres (TM) in Idaho. We are dedicated to protecting and nurturing the health of honey bees through restoration of land and promoting colonies.
